Around 10 concerned Dolphins and Whale lovers gathered at Hervey Bay Marina at 11am today 20th sep to sing songs hand out leaflets collect petitions and talk to interested people about what can be done to help the Dolphins and Whales. Whale man Bunna Lawrie from the mirning tribe in South Australia will was also there along with cetacean activist Howie Cooke.

MEDIA RELEASE 20-6-06 Brisbane Anti Whaling Protest calls for boycott of Japanese products and services. Whale conservationist from Byron Bay to Noosa will converge on the Japanese Consulate in Brisbane on the 20th of June, the last day of the International Whaling Commission (IWC) meeting. They fear that after Japans recent small voting win at the IWC, Japan will attempt to control the agenda and resume full scale commercial whaling. The Whale conservationist will be calling for Japan to stop killing whales and for people to boycott Japanese products and services.

11 People from Byron Whale Action Group and newly formed Sea Shepherd group dumped frozen Sealord fish and calimari next to mock whale sushi out front of the Japanese consulate in Brisbane last Wednesday to protest against Japanese whaling and SeaLords involvement in the whaling industry.
