Rainbow Whale Gathering Frazer island July to October..... ???

Looks like mid August to end of September is the time of most whales in hervery bay, so that would be the best time for a gathering.

Thanks Gina,I think we should put the word out to invite people with boats big and small to the gathering so we can get people out on the water. Andy Robinson Byron Lighthouse ranger is organising a morning with the whales on the opening of whale whatching season Byron lighthouse Sunday June 18th . Will post agenda soon. he has asked me to give a talk on the political situation with the whales.

After discussing the idea with friends a base camp of one month seemed practical and obtainable. This camp coordinated to meet southbound 'flight' crew and spend time in bay with already familiar whales. The base camp could develop confidence and effectvity with core group aand then extend in subsequent years. Anyway that seemed common thread amongst interested folk.
I know the Butchulla people are indigenous to that area and in particular the Guran-Gurang clan of Hervey Bay. Anthony that works in upstairs didge shop is related through grandmother. He might be good to talk to.
I personally feel a rainbow family gathering with an intention of utilising our many teachinngs and abilities to deepen our connection with this ancient part of our earth family would be an awesome prayer for creation in these times! I,m in.
